2021 American Silver Eagle. One of the most essential proof coins is this one. On July 2, 2021, the second Proof American Silver Eagle of the year will be released. The avid collector must have both sets of 2021 American Silver Eagles. The year 2021 American Silver Eagle coins will mark the 100th anniversary of the "first issued nation" in the United States. On that day the United States Mint will produce a limited number of commemorative coins to celebrate the event. Those coins are expected to be released around the third week of January. In planning for this special occasion the Mint will release three different commemorative designs. The first of these commemoratives is called the Reverse Design. This design depicts the eagle as it appeared on its original release in April twenty-first, all wearing a banner with thirteen stars representing the states of the union. The reverse design also includes a small national flag. Although designed around the first issuance, collectors hoping to add a piece of history to their collection will find this reverse design particularly interesting. Another design in the set of 2021 American silver eagle coins is the Obverse. This design depicts the attributes of the national mint along with the year the coins were first produced. Within its design is a seal that resembles that of the United States mint and contains the name of the mint, the design, the date, the motto, the image and the seal of the mint. This design is quite popular with collectors looking for early designs of the heraldic eagle. The second of the commemorative coin set, the Double Obverse, is the most complex of the three design elements. On the obverse side of the coin is a depiction of the president of the United States, two standing upright with each foot placed with his heel flat against the ground. The eagle's wings are bare, as is the denomination of the coin. Above the president's head are the words" inaugurated" and beneath is the year, the mint mark, the name of the issuing authority, and the face value of the coin. Another depiction of the American eagle depicts a shield with wings on either side of the president's body. Between these wings is the shield's winged helmet. Lastly, on the reverse side of the coin is the image of an eagle. Within the image is a field of dots that resemble the layout of the flags of the united states. Between these dots is an eagle's wings, depicting the distinct shape of the national mint. Within this design are the date, the name of the mint, the symbol for the United States, and the value of one silver dollar. These are the available designs in the 2020 American Silver Eagle coin series. Twenty-one American silver eagle coins are available in the common bullion, rare and minted coin collections. Each coin has a different design within the overall design. The amount of the metal in the coins also varies, ranging from one Troy oz. to one hundred Troy Oz for the common bullion coins and from one dollar to one thousand Troy Oz for the rare and minted coins
